- J. LIf food can touch your soul, The French Touch had us at the escargot. I can talk about the charming decor that whisks you away to something unlike Belize, I can talk about the chef/owner Patrick and his staff that were an absolute delight with the service they offered but this post, although it is about all those factors to certain extent, it is more about the magic of the food. Food that makes you close your eyes and simply nod in delectation as you savor the concoction of flavours entertaining your palate. It is the type of taste that embeds itself in your memory and dares to linger long after you are back home. The longing to go back to San Pedro and not for the amazing snorkeling but if only to sit at the French Touch and breath in the aroma of what it means to pour your heart in the food - that is what Chef Patrick's food does to you. It makes it seem like every restaurant thereafter seems one star less - the bar has been risen and the pleasure has been all mine. *Make a reserv...
- Michelle GHighlight of our trip (dining wise)! Patrick, the owner/chef made the entire experience incredible! The wine list was awesome, and the food was incredible! The French onion soup was noteworthy, escargot amazing, garlic shrimp delicious and our mains, tenderloin and a pork chop, were perfectly prepared and so flavorful! The atmosphere is intimate, we got to know most of the patrons dining that night and we felt like we were eating in Patrick’s home. Oh, and don’t skip dessert, the flourless chocolate cake was the perfect ending to the perfect meal. This is a must go in San Pedro!
- Irene LEnjoyed very much. Food reminded me of high quality cooking of many local restaurants in France. Food is not *that* fancy (although nice) but everything prepared very well.
